University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering (UNIMY) is designated towards creating computing professionals in an effort to sustain Malaysia's economic success to produce market-ready computing professionals and talent which is in line with the New Economic Model (NEM) and Higher Education Transformation Programme (HETP) initiated by the Malaysian government in 2011. UNIMY aims to become the prestigious and world renowned institute and research centre in the field of computer science and engineering. Thus it will focus on 5 strategic computer domains namely Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information System and Computational Science. At UNIMY, academic programme is more than just classrooms and lectures. UNIMY boasts a high-calibre and committed faculty, a 20:1 student-faculty ratio, undergraduate research, industrial attachment, and a technologically advanced learning environment to help students learn, explore, and expand their horizons. At UNIMY, students are required to take elective courses which consists of various ICT professional certifications. They are allowed to take up to four (4) professional certificates upon passing the individual exam for each professional course. These ICT professional certifications will be awarded by world-renowned international bodies including Microsoft, IBM, EC Council, Autodesk, Huawei and CISCO.
