Course Overview

Grooming students for entry-level cybersecurity positions, the programme exposes students to the principles and practices of digital and cybersecurity, equipped with analytical and technical skills necessary in the areas of network security, software security and digital forensics such as installing and configuring critical software, monitoring networks, responding to cyber attacks, assessing threats, and finding and fixing vulnerabilities. Graduates of the programme will become cybersecurity specialists who are capable of helping their organisations to secure computer and network resources as well as critical and sensitive information.

  • Candidates without a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted if the Certificate programme contains subjects in Mathematics that are equivalent to Mathematics at SPM level.
  • Candidate with a credit in computing related subject at SPM level or its equivalent may be given preferential consideration.
English Language Requirements
For Malaysian Candidate:
  • Pass their English language; OR
  • Pass English 1119 subject (or July Papers)
For International Candidate:
  • Pass TOEFL (within the 2-year validity period) with a minimum score of 550; OR
  • Pass IELTS (within the 2-year validity period) with a minimum of Band 6

6 Long Semesters + 2 Short Semesters
