How Do I Get In?
- Pass SPM /SPMV with at least credit in any 3 subjects, including Mathematics; or
- Pass IGCSE / O-Level with a minimum of grade C in any 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics: or
- Pass UEC with a minimum of grade B in any 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics; and
- Minimum Pass in English
- Any equivalent qualification recognised by the government of Malaysia.
*Trial Examination/ Forecast results are accepted.

Year 1
Introduction to Computing
This introductory module helps you understand how information technology can boost productivity through hands-on learning. You'll work with popular software tools for document preparation, spreadsheets, databases, graphics, email, and groupware. You'll also learn how to use common computer hardware properly.
Problem Solving & Programming
This module focuses on problem-solving skills, writing algorithms, and understanding basic programming concepts such as syntax, control structures, functions, and arrays. It will equip you with the ability to write simple console programmes and understand programmes written by other developers.
History of Arts
This module aims to help you develop the foundational knowledge and skills needed to engage with, discuss, and analyse all forms of art, while understanding their context and using the appropriate vocabulary.
Introduction to Arts & Design
Explore the Principles of Design (Contrast, Emphasis, Unity, and Harmony) to understand how artists and designers use them to create impactful work. Through studies and exercises, you’ll analyse, practice, and critique, learning to apply these principles effectively in your own designs.
Introduction to Drawing
This module enhances your observational skills and drawing techniques using various media. You’ll develop technical abilities and creative responses to materials and subjects, with no prior drawing experience required. You’ll also learn to critique drawings and receive feedback from peers and the instructor, while articulating artistic concepts using discipline-specific vocabulary.
Introduction to Creative Thinking
This module introduces you to the psychological study of creativity, covering creativity theories, processes, traits of creative individuals, creativity blocks, motivation, and lateral thinking tools for problem-solving.
Cyberpreneurship
Learn to become a cyberpreneur, the tech-based entrepreneur of the future, with this module. It covers two key areas: product development and commercialising the product. You will explore e-commerce principles, web infrastructure, web-based tools, current trends in e-commerce, and more.
Visual Studies
This module explores visual culture, blending popular media with fine art, design, and architecture. Activities include creating art, discussing images, attending lectures, and studying visual culture on-site. You will gain an understanding of how to use and manipulate visual images in daily life.
Audio Design
This module introduces you to creative sound design, where you'll explore techniques using audio technology to develop sound for standalone projects or other media. Through hands-on projects, you'll learn about studio operations, field sound acquisition, synthesis, sampling, digital signal processing, routing, and software instruments.
2D & 3D Animation
This module teaches you the principles and techniques of computer animation, focusing on designing and choreographing movement, gesture, weight, action, reaction, behaviour, and characteristics using animation technology. You'll gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to create effective animations.
Effective Communication – Workplace and Persuasive Presentation
This module focuses on effective communication, which is crucial for success in both professional and personal life. You'll explore different communication strategies, interpersonal skills, and their workplace applications. Assessment includes role-plays, presentations, written reports, and exams.
Object-Oriented Programming Fundamentals
This module helps you solve computational problems using object-oriented concepts, capture reusable design patterns, and write programs in object-oriented languages. It covers high-level abstractions of objects, Abstract Data Types, OOP concepts, and programming methodologies.
Year 2
Human-Computer Interaction
This module introduces Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), focusing on how people interact with computers. You'll learn design approaches and implement usable interactions, considering the Malaysian context. You'll also evaluate interfaces, covering design, administration, and usability evaluation.
Database Management Systems
This module explores the fundamental concepts necessary for the design, use, and implementation of database and document management systems, such as the relational database model.
Digital Media Technologies
This module explores the technology behind the digital content revolution and its impact on how we interact, whether through verbal communication, music, art, or literature. You’ll learn about "digital media," covering the creation, manipulation, storage, management, and distribution of digital information.
3D Graphics & Animation
This module is an introduction to 3D design concepts, and provides practical experience in the design and evaluation of 3D graphics. You will gain practical experience by storyboarding, designing, animating, and rendering 3D graphic objects, characters, and environments.
Digital Video
This introduction to digital video employs the principles and elements of art and design, introducing you to image capture and manipulation. You will also learn how incorporate sound and movement, and principles of line, colour, perspective and composition. You are encouraged to explore ideas and produce video compositions using basic techniques and software.
Web Application Development
This module covers the basics of web programming. You’ll learn how to design and create web pages using HTML, XHTML, and CSS. You’ll also gain skills in using Macromedia Dreamweaver to organise, access, and share information, as well as applying HTML and JavaScript in the web development process to create dynamic content.
Digital Compositing
In this module, you will learn essential digital compositing and visual effects techniques such as keying, tracking, and camera matching. These skills will enable you to seamlessly blend 3D animation with live footage. You will also explore advanced processes used to create convincing photorealistic visual effects.
Motion Graphics
This introductory module in motion graphics focuses on digital video and various graphic file formats. You will engage in lectures, screenings, critiques, and lab studio sessions. Projects will cover best practices in animation, visual effects, broadcast design, film titles, and video effects. The module will use industry-standard software, including After Effects.
Digital Design & Pre-Print Workflow
This module introduces you to the digitised design workflow for high-quality printing and generating product proofs. You will learn to calibrate images (colour and black and white), adjust trapping levels, and mix colours using major software applications. The module covers scanning, resolution, image formats, and techniques to enhance images for print, even those downloaded from the internet.
Fundamentals for Creative Professionals
This module explores the ethical principles crucial for professionals across various fields. You’ll learn about ethical issues in different sectors through case studies and apply key ethical and legal concepts to real-world scenarios and your own practice.
Year 3
Animation & Visual Effects Automation
This module introduces the open-source Processing programming language, teaching you animation production and how to use it creatively for 3D modelling and animation. You’ll learn to draw with code and progress to animating in 2D and 3D, opening up a world of graphics and digital entertainment.
Practical Training
This module prepares you for the gaming industry in a real-world setting, while giving organisations the chance to train you to meet industry demands upon graduation.
3D Animation Production
This module equips you with the fundamental knowledge and technical skills to create 3D animation. With the rise of digital technology in film, the web, computer games, and graphic design, you'll develop critical and creative thinking, along with expertise in 3D animation production. You'll have the opportunity to express your ideas and emotions through the techniques taught in this course.
Final Year Project
This project is a capstone design experience, focusing on system design specification, implementation, and evaluation. Your assessment will include a written report, demonstration, and oral presentation. You'll apply your knowledge to a specific topic, developing your organisational, theoretical, and practical skills.

Networking Fundamentals
This module is an introduction to Networks and Computer Communications. You'll learn the theoretical and practical aspects of data communications, focusing on the transportation of data between computers.
Project Management Fundamentals
This module will give you project management experience to guide you through your final year projects. You'll focus on planning, organising, scheduling, and budgeting, while also developing soft skills like communication, trust, and teamwork. Industry project managers will be invited to share their insights.
Basic Concepts of Marketing
This module covers key marketing concepts, the marketing mix, and factors influencing strategies. You'll explore consumer vs. business buying behaviours and international marketing, including global environments and product promotion.
Game Programming I
This module introduces object-oriented programming with DirectX for game development. You will learn game design principles, modular coding, and how to use DirectX APIs to display images, manipulate 3D objects, play sounds, and work with scripts and templates. You'll also learn how to apply an existing framework to future applications in an object-oriented way.
Game Programming II
This module deepens your understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for game development, covering concepts like objects, classes, inheritance, and polymorphism. You'll also explore pointers and new libraries to enhance your graphics and game programming skills.

New Venture Creation
This module equips potential and existing entrepreneurs with the skills to start and grow sustainable businesses. You'll learn how to identify opportunities and tender for business in both public and private sectors.
Appreciation of Ethics and Civilisation (Malaysian students) / Malay Communication 1 (International students)
This module covers ethical appreciation, focusing on the National Principles (Rukun Negara), government policies, and national development. You’ll study Malaysia’s history before and after independence and the efforts in building the nation’s civilisation. Malay Communication 1 teaches the basics of the Malay language, helping you read, write, and understand simple sentences and paragraphs.
Integrity and Anti-Corruption
This module introduces the basic concepts of corruption, including integrity, anti-corruption, abuse of power, and ways to prevent corruption in daily life and organisations. By the end, you will understand the importance of integrity, the different forms of corruption, and strategies for preventing corruption in society and organisations.
Community Service
This module develops your communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through community service. It focuses on social responsibility, leadership, and teamwork, with activities extending beyond the university.
National Language A (only for students without credit in SPM BM)
